Register of Intention to become a Qualified Elector
In the Lake County Clerks office there was a book titled Register of
Intention to become a Qualified Elector (1890-1892). This book was
slated to go down to the Indiana State Archives. I thought that it
would be nice if it was abstracted before it left Lake County.
You will find the last and first names of ones who wanted to be Qualified
Electors for the years between 1890 and 1892. Their ages, the date of
notice, the township they lived in, and the voting precinct.
This database will at least place an ancestor in Lake County at the time
of 1890-1892. It may be consider a very small substitution for the 1890 census.
This book has been transferred to the State Archives for preservation.
