Lookup and local researcher assistance are available to help you in your Northwest Indiana genealogy and family
history research.
LOOKUP RESEARCH REQUEST POLICY
NWIGS volunteers will perform an index look-up service from NWIGS
publications. Negative findings will be indicated in our reply. A self
address, stamped envelope is required for all requests. Two photocopies from
the index are included in each request. Additional copies from the index or
the row-by-row section require an additional payment $.20 per copy.
Notification of additional charges will be provided with the initial
reply and must be paid prior to final completion of the request. Additional
postage, if necessary, will also be billed when the request is answered. A
list of area researchers will be provided upon request or when research
request exceeds a NWIGS publication index search. Members are entitled to
one free lookup per year (year begins July 1) from the below list.
